Nari Samagam And Spardha
Introduction:
Tomorrow at the Vinay Marg Sports Complex in New Delhi, the DoPT will host the women's sports competition "Nari Samagam & Spardha." DoPT is hosting "Nari Samagam & Spardha" - Women Sports Meet tomorrow at Vinay Marg Sports Complex, New Delhi, in honour of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. Ms. Vinesh Phogat, a wrestler and CWG medalist, will meet with female athletes and give a winning pep talk. The first female wrestler from India to win a gold medal in the Asian and Commonwealth Games was Ms. Vinesh Phogat. Only she has won numerous medals at the World Wrestling Championships among Indian women wrestlers.
The first Women Sports Meet will be attended by Ms. Sujata Chaturvedi, Secretary (Sports), and Ms. S. Radha Chauhan, Secretary, DoPT, at 11:00 AM on January 11, 2023. The first Women Sports Meet took place on December 22, 2021, and this is its second iteration.
Other infrastructure development projects, such as the construction of a synthetic volleyball court, the relaying of a tennis court, the extension of cricket fields, the conversion of four fields into synthetic fields, the enclosure of all eight fields, and the renovation of restrooms, were also completed. CCSCSB received a grant from the Department of Sports for this purpose in the amount of Rs. 1.55 crore.
